Currently, the practice is to declare kernel components in the jar in conf/portal.xml

With the new extension mechanism, this becomes a bad practice for several reasons :

    • all portal containers will deploy the components, even if they don't want to use them
    • we want to easily disable an extension fully (by using a profile or simply removing the war)

Please move all declarations of components from conf/portal/configuration.xml below WEB-INF/conf/ of the extension.

Need to recheck. Some components can't be declared in jar. Need to clarify why.

There are still some components can not declared in jar, they have to be declared in socialdemo and social-extension web app.
